Kennedy new bathroom

The owner of this new bathroom gave us full creative control over the basement bathroom addition.  It allowed us to  implement one of our core tenants of design -- the idea that light should be experienced  when rendered upon surfaces and that the source should never be seen. 

Our selections for the wet fixtures draws similarities between them when turned on, and we used matte black accent pieces to provide contrast across the room.  The use of floor-to-ceiling white marble ceramic tiles on the over-sized custom shower walls make the room seem larger, aid in the contrast, and provide a spa-like environment for users.

The owner has enthusiastically expressed that this is now the "best bathroom in the house!"  and has reported that all overnight guests prefer to traverse two floors to use this bathroom in lieu of the much closer second floor bathroom adjacent to the guest bedrooms.
