Clarence started his career in the United States Department of Defense, where he initially worked as a facilities maintenance technician.  He received his education in Architecture at Virginia Tech, and upon graduation he was promoted to the position of an Architect within the department.  While there, he worked on commercial projects for the Missile Defense Agency, acting as the Agency's Architect for the construction of their Headquarters and Command Center in Virginia.  He then took his talents to the United States Department of State (DOS) where he functioned as an Architect/Design Manager, handling a portfolio valued at $2Billion at its height.  While at DOS, he worked on the design, construction, life cycle, and decommissioning of all manners of projects in foreign markets from high-end residential to commercial and industrial.

While at DOS, he began teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at the University of the District of Columbia.  This position allowed him to combine his passion for design with his desire to mentor aspiring architects.

He uses his experience and talents here at PowellDesign to help homeowners obtain the spaces of their dreams.

Morgan has 10 years of experience in the construction industry.  A graduate of Virginia Tech, she has two degrees -- one in Building Construction and the other in Real Estate.  She has worked with some of the largest general contracting firms in the Washington, D.C. and New York City metropolitan regions.  Over the course of her career, she has worked on multiple project types; including high-end high-rise residential, educational, commercial, and government.

For PowellDesign, she brings an immense amount of insight and expertise to the general contracting field and is instrumental during Contractor Acquisition and Construction Administration.
